2020 has been a year of transformation at Climate Tracker.

In the next 12 months, we’ll be building on a new digital focus, with a stronger focus on developing deeper networks in key geographies. This is especially the case in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Southern and Northern Africa.

We are also excited to engage in new publishing platforms, while seeking to streamline our focus and impact. For these reasons, we are looking to bring on a new Co-Director, to work alongside Chris Wright, our Managing Director and co-lead this transition.

If you’d love to be part of a cool dynamic team and connect with inspiring young people around the world, you have until October 20th to apply!

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The role will be hands-on and we are looking for someone who is equally inspired by the chance to develop new ideas as someone who is willing to dive in and fix old mistakes. We’re not a perfect organisation, and we’re always open to improving. But if we’re going to improve, we need someone willing to lead by example and bring others with them.

Ideally, we’d love someone with experience as a journalist or an editor. As well as someone with experience managing projects or teams. The role will definitely involve quite a bit of fundraising and network building, so experience in this is also a plus, but it is also something that will be taught on-the-job.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with a passion for great climate journalism. That’s what we’re aiming to do at the end of the day – curate great climate storytellers, and support great climate reporting.

At the end of the day though, almost no-one has all this experience, so don’t be worried if you don’t tick all these boxes. This is meant to be a guide, and if you’re still reading this much, and not too worried, we’d love you to apply.
