Climate Tracker Asia will host a virtual conference “Through a Climate Lens” on climate and energy reporting that aims to help Southeast Asian journalists improve their coverage of the climate crisis and energy transitions in their home countries.
The digital conference will be held from November 25 and 26, 2022. It will feature leading experts on climate change and energy, representatives from civil society organizations, and communicators who are part of Climate Tracker’s massive network.
There will be sessions on climate storytelling in the region, covering energy from the climate lens, collaborative journalism, inclusivity and diversity in climate change reporting, and youth in climate storytelling.
Participants are encouraged to share their experiences, discuss the challenges and opportunities in climate and energy reporting, and network with experts and journalists in the region.
During the conference, Climate Tracker Asia will also launch its Digital Energy Reporting Guide. Written with the help of Southeast Asian journalists, the guide aims to help communicators in reporting the complex and interrelated topics of climate change and energy.
The event will also highlight the important and impactful stories produced by Climate Tracker fellows this year.
The digital conference is supported by Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung. Climate Tracker is an international non-profit that trains young storytellers to do better climate reporting. It has supported thousands of communicators through training, media research, and grant opportunities.
