Poland just made a Climate Propaganda video – It’s awesome

It’s forcing judges it doesn’t like to retire, it’s withdrawing from the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration,   and its President recently marched with far-right protestors to celebrate Independence Day.

However, we know that one great video can change hearts and minds around the world. Yesterday that video arrived.

The 2 minute blockbuster produced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs begins by smashing a rotating image of the earth, that kicks off an awe-inspiring pin-ball adventure toward a mysterious, un-named country that has committed to Climate Nuetrality, reforestation, greenhouse gas reductions, coal trains, hot air balloons, and flying bees!

After a heart-pulsating 2 mins, the country is finally revealed.

Poland![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/1″][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBNP6bKXWeY&feature=youtu.be”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]At the end of the video, you’ll notice the phrase “a country where everyone matters”. While I was all good with the flying bees, this is slightly suprising considering it was made by the same Foreign Affairs department who just pulled out of the UN’s proposed migration pact.

Here’s 5 other things that you might not be 100% about:

  1. The video describes the need to “act as one and share a common goal“. This was exemplified last year when Poland smartly blocked annoying EU ministers seeking to increase the region’s climate targets.
  2. Climate Nuetrality – Poland has been a big supporter of this, and hopes that it could win big with this idea (think trees and coal plants in harmonic bliss). It’s not a big fan of the alternative; “Decarbonisation”. In fact, it thinks the idea is “heresay”.
  3. Wind turbines – In Poland, the cost of electricity from new onshore wind capacity is already competitive with that of new coal. Unfortunately, its not very easy to build them in Poland anymore 🙁
  4. Bees – Poland has almost 50,000 beekeepers. Bees love Poland. They don’t like neonicotinoid pesticides though.  The Agriculture ministry does though.
  5.  “People understand very well…climate change”. Also a little strange since Eastern Europe is among the least satisfied region with efforts to preserve the environment and battle climate change.

Aside from those however, this video is awesome![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
